About Thermochron Systems

Thermochron Systems LLC was founded in early 2024 in Sacramento, California. It is owned and operated by Dr. Adam S. Goldsmith, who is also the sole employee.

Adam got his Bachelor of Science in Geology in 2009 from the University of Kansas. After this, he moved to Austin, Texas to study the effects of radiation damage on helium diffusion in zircon, for which he received his doctoratal degree from the Jackson School of Geosciences at The University of Texas at Austin in 2018.

After receiving his PhD, he first moved to Connecticut, where he worked as a lab manager and research faculty under Dr. Julie Fosdick's Basin Analysis and Helium Thermochronology Laboratory at the University of Connecticut.

Next, Adam moved to Sacramento in 2021 to work for Applied Spectra as their Alphachron and RESOchron specialist, a position he held for three years.

Finally, in 2024, Adam decided to take over the Alphachron product line for himself and began Thermochron Systems LLC.
